Rotary club of Pune Kalyani Nagar organised a Musical Night on the eve of Raksha Bandhan..for the brave warriors suffering from Thalassemia! We feel elated & grateful that all our fellow Rotarians came together for this Nobel cause. We feel happy to serve & get great satisfaction to be able to generate some funds which will aid blood transfusion for these less privileged children. It is rightly said that money cant buy joy, so we decided to do our Music Smiles project with these patients on the same day to add some moments of cheer in the lives of the beneficiaries of this project. The evening gave us immense satisfaction as it was entertainment with a cause! To leverage the service..12 other Rotary clubs collaborated with us! Dignitories of the district, Rtn Manjoo Phadke, Rtn Pallavi Sable, Rtn Brij Sethi & Rtn Mangesh Hande along with Presidents & members of the 13 clubs graced the occasion. The show went on for 3 hours! Around 100 people participated in the event. Melodious voices of 28 singers stole our hearts! There was a celebrity singer from Delhi..Montu mast mast!..on the show. It was really touching to hear the thalassemic warriors sing with abundance! 38 blood transfusion kits worth 1000 rs each were raised. We are hoping this will be recognized by more clubs & we could together do something more to serve these needy children!
